Presenting...

New newsletter format, new subtitle, new me :) I'm gearing up for some exciting things in the coming months, so I figured it was time for a refresh.

I'm releasing a book in 2026! A few weeks ago, I announced on my blog that I would be self-publishing THE CHAMOS PROJECT, my Pitch Wars novel from 2018.

This romantic science fiction story features a forbidden romance between a human and an android, star-crossed lovers who meet on a spaceship that becomes stranded due to a mysterious accident while in the middle of its journey to Alpha Centauri. Sparks fly when they're forced to put their mutual animosity aside to survive.

This book also features an entirely queer cast, characters over 40, and adorable robots. It's best for fans of Becky Chambers, THE EXPANSE, and TITANIC.

What can you do right now to support TCP?

  1. Add THE CHAMOS PROJECT on Goodreads!
  2. Apply to be an ARC reader!
  3. Spread the word to other sci-fi readers!

My target launch date is in February 2026. In the coming months, I will be promoting this book on social media and through my blog and newsletter using character art, excerpts, sneak peeks, the cover reveal, and more!

Follow me on the social media platform of your choice to stay updated about this journey.

A photograph of an island in a lake at sunset, with the sun behind the trees. The sky is blue and pink, and there are lilypads and reeds in the water close to shore.

What I've been up to: I took a break from writing this summer and instead focused on hiking, traveling, lake life, visiting friends and family, working on various improvements around the house, and being constantly horrified by the news. Now that summer is waning, it's time to turn back to writing. Sunset over the lake. What I'm working on: I have a lot of different WIPs that I'm half-heartedly poking at: a novella I'm pitching as KNIVES OUT in space, a novel about a galactic bounty hunter...

A photograph of an ice-covered lake, with bare trees on the shore and a blue sky that has some white streaks of clouds across it.

What I've been up to: A short and sweet update for my first newsletter of the year, because frankly, It's been piece of bad news after piece of bad news since the inauguration, and I don't have any book, movie, or podcast recommendations to add to this newsletter. As far as a writing update goes, I've had 5 stories published so far in 2025: Issue 97 of Andromeda Spaceways Magazine is out in the world, and it includes a story I co-wrote with Kat Veldt called "Maintenance". Do you like sad...

A photograph of a river in the wintertime, depicting blue skies, ice on the water, dead leaves on the grass, and bare trees.

This is a long one, so buckle up. A wintry walk in the Upper Midwest. My favorite time of year. What I've been up to: Stories: Since September, I've had another story published! This is my 4th and final one of 2024, and it took 2nd place in the contest that I wrote it for: "Two Earthlings" - TL;DR Press 1K Word Herd Competition Anthology Awards (sort of): Two of my 2024 stories are awards eligible and are on the Nebula Reading List for SFWA members! "Proprietary Technology" "Two Earthlings"...
